11/29/2023 0 Comments Vuescan custom media sizein my world that indicates that there could be some other way to 'tie' the formats to the scanner paper-size menu - but how? Thank you in advance for any suggestions. There is one 'hint' (being an old mainframe-programmer, I interpret it that way) - it appears that all paper formats that included with the pull down menu are 'locked' in the sense that I cannot change the Paper Size for those formats in the 'Print server properties' menu - all others are availble to manipulate. I tried the same way using a couple of other applications with image import facilites, such as Microsoft Live,, etc. The 'Paper Size' menu then becomes available, and displays a lot of (unnecessay for me) formats, but the one I defined in 'Devices and Printers' > (highlight device) > 'Print server properties' does still not appear. 'Devices and Printers' > (highlight device) > 'Start scan' > (select source=feeder from the drop down menu). I used the most basic of all ways, I presume: 1. Definitely not a menu on the device - nor any specific scanner-software. As noted earlier, the setting for Input> Media size: may need to be set to Maximum if the full scanning bed is to be used with items larger than 8.5 x 11 inches. The output resolution in DPI and the output quality preset can. This will give the best quality scans.Click to expand. If you want, you may choose a paper size from the dropdown menu or create a custom paper size. You may also want to follow the procedure in the Advanced Workflow Suggestions section of this Manual for locking the exposure and film base color for the entire roll of film. For instance, if you set this to 1-3,5,7, then scan0001.tif, scan0002.tif, scan0003.tif, scan0005.tif and scan0007.tif will be processed when you press the Scan button. Set Input | Batch scan to “All” to scan all files, or set it to “List” and manually set the frame numbers.Use the File | Default options command to set all the other options to their default values, then set up the other options as if you were scanning the images.Set the Input | Source option to “File”, and set Input | Files to point to the starting file in the series (eg scan0001.tif).You can change the folder and file names by changing the Output | Raw file name option. In the Output tab un-check all the options except for Output | Raw fileĪs each image is scanned, files with sequential numbering such as “scan0001.tif, scan0002.tif”, etc.Standard Option: This option is always displayed. Auto Analyzes the image find the crop boxes automatically. This option will also be selected if you have adjusted the crop size or position using the mouse on the preview window. If it doesn’t, try powering off the computer, powering off the scanner, powering on the scanner and then powering on the computer. Manual Lets you enter all of the crop sizes manually. ![]()
